Decent transfer of the classic movie. The picture is nice (clearer than any VHS version I have seen), but the subs -- though easy to read -- suffer from a lot of spelling errors. Audiowise, the sound had been remixed into Dolby 5.1, which may anger purists who would have preferred the original mono mix (the remix also sounds mushy at parts, especially during the gun battles). The design of the DVD is also a bit rough; you have to sit through about two minutes of logos and copyright warnings before you get to the menu and the film only has 9 chapters, which can make finding your favorite scene a bit tricky (sadly, this seems to be common for Hong Kong DVDs). Potential buyers should be aware that the first run of this DVD had a different soundtrack, mostly comprised of music stolen from US movies such as The Terminator. If you're buying ABT on DVD, make sure it has the "100% original music" sticker on the front.
