After putting up with the cruddy Tai Seng VHS version of this for years, I was pretty hyped to pick this one up. The overall design of the DVD is very nice, though (like many HK DVDs) it only has 9 chapters. Some people were worried that the new Dolby sound mix would sound bad, but it is quite well done, especially when compared with earlier remixing attempts like A Better Tomorrow. However, no attempt was made to fix the picture so it still looks a bit dark and muddy, and the subs are the same as previous versions -- full of grammatical errors. I might be nitpicking here, but with its' high price tag, I was expecting a bit more. On the good side, this version restores most of the sex and violence cut from other versions. If you like Full Contact and have the cash, this DVD is worth picking up.
