Heroes
AKA: Wu-Tang Clan, The Shaolin Temple, The Shaolin Heroes, The Heroes
1976
Director: Chang Cheh
Stars: Ti Lung, Dick Wei
Your standard "evil Manchus persecuting the Shaolin" plot with Ti Lung as a Manchu lieutenant assigned by his overlord (Wei) into torturing a group of Shaolin kung-fu students. I'm not a big fan of "old-school" kung-fu movies, but Heroes is done well under the expert direction of Chang Cheh. The script is solid (complete with a nice twist at the end), the actors (especially Ti Lung) are good in their roles and the martial arts sequences -- while nothing spectacular -- are better than those featured in most movies produced during this period. If you dig this type of movie, it's worth checking out.
