Kickboxer's Tears
1992
Director: Sam Daat Wai
Stars: Moon Lee, Yukari Oshima, Ken Lo, Billy Chow
A pretty simple plot here -- Moon Lee's brother Ken Lo is killed in the ring by a corrupt kickboxer (Chow) after he refuses to throw a match, so Moon looks to get revenge by entering in a series of underground fights. This movie suffers from many of the same problems present in other movies in the genre: poor production values, sloppy camerawork/editing, a weak script, sub-par acting, etc. But the fights, especially the one between Moon and Yukari Oshima, are quite good and make the film worth watching for fans of the genre.
